How did WSSN begin?
West
Shore Singles Network was established in January, 2005 by Dr. Patricia
Groessl, a Psychologist and Certified Sex Therapist in Muskegon, MI.
She, over the years, saw a need to create a community for the many
singles in the area. Many times, she would hear from singles, saying
they feel isolated, separate and that it's just a "married world" out
there. Since approximately forty percent of adults in the area are
single, she believed there was a need to create this community. She
also set up WSSN in response to Governor Granholm urging to make
Michigan a "Cool" place to live. It is an all volunteer, non-profit
group.
